The Lipostat injection is generally well tolerated. Most patients experience nothing more than a brief pinch and a small amount of redness or tenderness at the injection site, which resolves within twenty-four hours.

Vitamin and mineral therapies are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment of an underlying medical condition. If you have a chronic illness, are pregnant or nursing, or take prescription medications, your clinician will review whether this injection is appropriate for you and may recommend lab work first.

What patients ask about Lipostat.

No, and we will not market it that way. Lipostat is a metabolism support injection that works best alongside a real weight loss effort, whether that is a semaglutide or tirzepatide program, a structured nutrition plan, or consistent training. Patients who use it without any other change rarely see meaningful results from Lipostat alone.

Many of our weight loss patients add a weekly Lipostat shot to their GLP-1 program. The B12 component helps offset the fatigue some patients experience early in titration, and the MIC compounds support liver function during a period when fat metabolism is increasing rapidly. We will discuss whether it makes sense for you at your free weight loss consultation.

Weekly is the most common cadence for patients actively pursuing weight loss. Once you have reached your goal, every two weeks is typical for maintenance. Bundles are sized to support either cadence.

Lipostat is one of several names used for the MIC + B12 blend. Other clinics may call it Lipo-B, Lipo-MIC, Slim Shot, or simply MIC. The active ingredients are similar across most preparations. What matters more is the pharmacy that compounds it and the dose your clinician administers.

Not required for most patients. If you have a history of liver or kidney issues, we may recommend bloodwork first to confirm Lipostat is appropriate for you. We can order labs through a partner lab near you if needed.

Most patients describe it as a brief pinch followed by a mild burning sensation for ten to twenty seconds, which is normal for the MIC compounds. The discomfort fades quickly. Some patients have minor redness or tenderness at the site for a few hours afterward.

We ask for at least twenty-four hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a $50 fee. Things come up, we understand, just give us as much notice as you can.
